Cancelled flights from Heathrow

Soooo disappointed right now! Was really looking forward to flying away today for my friends birthday. Haven't seen him in months and now couldn't go because the flights were cancelled! Completely understand that the flights needed to be cancelled because of the increased security alerts but wish there had been some more information! Have a long weekend off work and would still love to go away and see my mates but don't yet know if I'll be able to.

At least it was easy to cancel my airport parking - just about the only thing that went smoothly today! Booked online with www.holidayextras.co.uk and just phoned them today on 0870 8444 100 and they cancelled my parking free of charge due to the security arrangements. More companies should be doing their best to help during these difficult times for passengers. Still haven't heard from my airline yet but at least have got some money back for my car parking.

Hopefully flying off this weekend..fingers crossed!
